Pro tip for newbies on Twitter.


1. Don’t #HASHTAG #Every #Word: Yes, you are excited about being on Twitter. We can see that when you hashtag every word and use totally unrelated hashtags after your tweet. It not only disturbs the reader but also proves how naive you are. So, hold onto your horses kid.


2. Engage in conversations: Don’t expect people to follow you without engaging in conversations. Why should anyone follow you when they don’t know what you tweet about?


3. Don’t expect a follow back: #TeamFollowBack is a thing of the past. No one gives a damn if you unfollow them. So, follow people only for their tweets and not for a follow back.


4. Want lots of followers?
If your chief aim is to just gain ‘thousands’ of followers in a short span of time, then you are doing twitter wrong!


5. Sometimes use Google instead: Don’t be a lazy bum. Google if you wanna find something. Don’t tweet and harass people.


6. Don’t get emo if someone steals your tweet: Yes, people steal tweets. They copy it blatantly instead of RTing it. It’s okay. Let it go.


7. Use #Quote if it’s a quote: Don’t pass off someone else’s quote as your own. If you like someone’s tweet, don’t hesitate to RT it.
